Updating Domain Nameservers

For people using shared hosting you’ll receive a set of nameservers in your welcome email. They may not look much but they are essential in pointing your domain name to your website content. VPS users visit my Create Nameservers For VPS Servers article.

Nameserver Example:
NS1.EXAMPLE.COM
NS2.EXAMPLE.COM

Nameservers always come in pairs.

Step 1

Login to Domain Registrar

Locate the domain entry of the site you would like to edit.

Step 2

Configure Domain

Click the domain name and navigate to the Nameservers section. Once located click Manage.

When the new Nameserver records have finished propagating throughout the web and working on the internet you’ll now be ready to publish your website.
